HOT ! Byodo-in Phoenix Hall Playing Cards - Unchū Kuyō Bosatsu Statues (Old Design)

This is an original playing card set from Byodo-in Temple.

The face of each card features a photograph of one of the 52 cloud-borne Bodhisattva statues hanging on the interior walls of the Byodo-in Phoenix Hall. The back of the cards features a design of the decorative patterns from the time the Phoenix Hall was built (the same design as the box).

During a trip in 2001, a friend bought this cloud-borne playing card set with a huge smile, and I was also tempted to buy it. I've only taken it out and looked at it once or twice at home, and I've kept it carefully stored.

The current version has been changed to a pop and light design, so I think this is a rare item.

As it is an old item, the adhesive on the side of the box has slightly peeled off due to aging (see image 5), and there is also a slight crease near the area where "Byodo-in" is written on the side (see image 4). Please check the product images and consider before purchasing.
