Thrift Store Rescue: Three String Guitar/Dulcimer
“Mr. project” is a thrift store rescue. When I found him, he had a splintery, jagged plywood back, tuning pegs that couldn’t hold the string tension, a very small sound hole, and a cracked/water damaged soundboard. Unplayable. Not to mention- cobwebs! Unplayable no more! New nut, new sound holes, sanded smooth, cracks patched, a custom made bridge, and an attachment for the ball-end strings. Mr. Project is rough around the edges, but loved both by the original artist and me. I tried to keep the motifs of the old artist (hearts, straight edges) while focusing on aesthetics and functionality.Mr. Project is a three string fretless guitar, which I have tuned as a dulcimer. The tuning pegs are stiff, you can use a pencil/sore driver to turn the keys. The wood came water damaged and split in several areas, I have done my best to patch it. See pictures, and questions if needed!Price negociable- just want to clear some space, want it to go to a loving home.
