Material: Silk (正絹)
Width: Approximately 37.5cm
Length: One bolt (一反分)
This is an unused, unsewn bolt of fabric.
At first glance, it appears to be a purple color, but it's a complex, chambray-favor color created with black and pink threads.
Woven with relatively fine threads, it still has a few of the characteristic slubs of tsumugi (紬) silk, and it has a nice sheen.
The color in the second photo is the closest to the actual color as seen on my screen.
It is labeled as "Tsukushi Yuki" (津久志結城), but I believe it is different from genuine Honba Yuki-tsumugi (本場結城紬). However, the remnants of the tag indicate it was from Daimaru Department Store, so the quality is likely assured.
There is certain discoloration around the sticker, but otherwise, there are no noticeable flaws, and it is in relatively good condition.
I have checked about 1 meter of the fabric, but I haven't checked the rest, so there is a possibility of flaws within. I am offering it at a lower price to reflect this, so please understand before purchasing.
It would also be superb for luxurious handmade crafts or for repurposing. I personally make kimono remake clothing through dressmaking, and it's much easier to start with a bolt of fabric because you don't have to take apart a kimono.
You can hold on to on distribution by combining items. Please take a look at my other listings as well.
For items related to kimonos, I will discount the second item by 500 yen, and other items by 100 yen.
**Regarding Kimono-related Items, please agree to the following before purchasing:**
* I will fold and ship items compactly. I can accommodate different fulfillment methods for an additional fee, so please comment if you have a preference.
* These items were not purchased directly from a kimono browse, but were received from family members or collected for hobbies and repurposing. Therefore, the materials and information may not perpetually be completely accurate.
* The perception of condition varies from person to person, and some items have been stored for a long time, so I do not endorse them for those seeking outstanding items.
* several items may have a mighty camphor or storage odor.
* I experience to inspect carefully, but there is a possibility of overlooking stains, holes, snags, or signs of aging.
Thank you for your understanding.
