VINTAGE RED HEAD WOODEN SHOE STRETCHER COBBLERS TOOL shelf
This is a vintage Red Head shoe stretcher made by the Rochester Shoe Tree Company in Rochester, NY. I got it at an estate sale. Itβs in magnificent vintage condition and makes a fantastic decorative item for a primitive collection. These wooden stretchers were designed to stretch or widen shoes, particularly leather shoes, and could also be used to address issues like bunion bumps. They feature a metal handle that, when turned, expands the wooden form to stretch the shoe. The Red Head brand was a product of the O.A. Miller Co.
